The last thing you need is a dangerous, noisy and time-consuming construction site in your place of learning. That’s why modular buildings are perfect for the education sector. Factory constructed, you can have your new space completed 70% faster than a traditional build, with minimal onsite disruption.

Fast and safe installation

Buildings can be installed during the school holidays so there is little or no disruption to learning and a greater focus on Health and Safety.

Long-lasting solutions

Modular buildings have all the benefits of traditional buildings, without the hassle…. and with the right maintenance they last just as long too

Case study

Vital elements of your build are budget and timings, and I take that seriously. So having advised on erecting hundreds of modular buildings, I’ve developed a process that’s worked for others, and it’ll work for you too.

Mullion School

Southerly Point Co-operative Multi-Academy Trust

Upgrading the school’s classroom facilities by providing a modern four-classroom Maths Block, choosing a modular solution due to the need to access the site via the school playing field, and thus minimise the timescales involved.

The area designated for the new building dictated some creative thinking to utilise a modular configuration, which was eventually achieved by a design involving units placed end to end as well as side by side.

This also allowed additional space to be created for a ‘break out’ room, a staff office and WC facility.

As for the access challenge – this involved laying a lengthy run of temporary ground mats designed to support large vehicles driving over it and not getting stuck. They also had to be strong enough to allow a 180 tonne crane to traverse the road and set up where required.

“Thank you Mike for considering all the challenges and making sure no stone was left unturned to ensure the deliveries and installation processes could proceed. Your input into the design was also crucial to ensure the school could tick all the operational boxes.”
